About the show
This is the official website of Danby Agricultural Show.
It is a popular, traditional show, held every August, amongst the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors.
Something for everyone
The show has an interesting range of competetive classes which represent the many skills and aspects of life in the countryside. Animals, machinery and husbandry are exhibited, as are produce, handicrafts and artistic items entered by people of all ages from the local schoolchildren onwards.
This year's main attraction is the Stokesley Farmers Beagles in the main arena at 1.45. Live music provided by the Stape Original Band.
Additional things not to be missed are a demonstration of sheep shearing and a visit by local alpacas and llamas.
The BBC will have a bus from their local radio station to provide entertainment and information, so call in for a chat.
For the children there is a climbing wall and a Super-trampoline to use up some of that energy, whilst a varied selection of trade stalls takes care of the shoppers amongst us. There is a large Craft Tent with a range of handmade goods and the Refreshments bar to well...refresh yourself!
There is show-jumping, sheep dog trials, a Farmer's market, ice cream.......... so come and join in the fun.
